Prof. dr hab. n. med. Mariusz Kusztal is a professor of nephrology with extensive academic and clinical experience, and has been actively involved for many years in the development of nephrology care in Poland and across Europe.
He is a graduate of Wroclaw Medical University, a specialist in internal medicine, nephrology, and clinical transplantation, and also holds an MBA in Healthcare.
He is affiliated with Wroclaw Medical University, where he has completed the full academic career pathway, while simultaneously developing his clinical and organizational activities.
In clinical practice, he has led a clinic for advanced chronic kidney disease, headed the Department of Nephrology, served as Head of a nephrology ward, and managed a dialysis center (both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis).
